HELP NEEDED! UK HEALTH PSYCHOLOGY WILL BE 20 years old in 2006!

2006 marks the 20th birthday of Health Psychology in the UK. The DHP is keen to mark this occasion at the 2006 conference in Essex, Sept 13-15th. We have in mind a relatively lighthearted "Health Psychology: This is Your Life", in which notable events and people are reviewed. We may also build in some awards. In order to make this work, we need your reminiscences. What are the key events in the development of Health Psychology in the UK from your perspective? Who were the people involved and why do they deserve a mention? What awards should be given, who would you nominate, and why? Have you any amusing anecdotes about events that should be remembered?
